Peer Review

My experience with peer review has been a good one every time I have done one. I think they are great when you want a new perspective or feedback on a point in your paper or about your paper.

Through out most of my research and writing process I had "Ah-ha" moments. Writing this paper gave me a refreshed outlook and a good education on my topic.

The states that have prescription medical marijuana were the intriguing part of my paper. The benifits are also intriguing too. The rest of it was what I expected in the research.

The last 6 weeks.

The things that I have expirienced in the last six weeks is a mixture of stress and family life. I am a laid off, stay at home dad working on classes and moving from Post Oregon (30 miles out side of Prineville Oregon) to Prineville Oregon to support my wife's career. So my plate is very full and never boring. I have learned a lot and have grown as a student which means I have changed and grown as a person.

There is a lot of hype about my topic ( madicinal marijuana). I am interested how thing will go in all the hype and research. In my research I have learned more than I thought there was about my topic. This paper will be a great learning expirience for me.

I wish everyone the same fun and learning expirience, I have endured.

Writing Style

My writing style is more free write than anything. I try to make sense of what is in my head and write it on paper then review it and finally type it out. To some it is confusing and challenging to them but I find it is the easiest way for me.

One thing about my academic challenges would be this blog and my little knowledge on the computer. I am a slow typer and my wife has to help me get through some of the computer stuff.

I am hoping that school will give me a positive start on a career because I am a laborer by trade and a wildland fire fighter. Which both have beaten me up pretty good. I need an easier career and a more rewarding one.

Plagiarism

We need to cite our source because the thoughts and ideas need credit where credit is due. People need the recognition of what they thought and of their ideas.

What I would do if someone did not give credit to me for my thoughts and ideas? I would probablely not do much, it is not worth the aggrivation or the stress. I have enough stress and do not want to have health problems.

It should be handled by not stressing over it because people can have the same thoughts or ideas. If you catch someone call them on it and the person caught should admit that they did it. The punishment should increase for the offender.

Yes lines are blurred online because you can change things online, copy, or paste from the web. with hackers and social web sites nothing seems safe.

Brainstroming topic

I have a brainstroming outline but I can't copy it on my blog. If anyone knows how please let me know.

I like the flexability of the courses because they allow me to have a job and a family life without the hassle of going to class or planning my life around classes. It also gives me the freedom to go to a college without having to move. I really have no ideas for making a closer community because I have a need for being close to people that I don't see online.

My ideas on being apart of a large blog-o-sphere to me is a waist of time and a lot of extra work which is unnecessary. The concept is good but not for me. I just don't see any use for it.
